The MD 555 cleaner from the Dürr Hygiene system is a special acidic and foam-free cleaner for dental suction systems, including their drain pipes. The use of MD 555 cleaner is recommended for problematic water (e.g. very hard water, salts that are difficult to dissolve, etc.) as well as for drainage pipes with insufficient slope. The MD 555 cleaner is suitable for use in special dental cleaning devices, e.g. dust jet devices. If MD 555 is used regularly, the formation of deposits and obstructions in the suction system is prevented. Clogging of the suction equipment caused by the use of prophylactic products that are difficult to dissolve, such as prophylaxis powders, especially based on calcium carbonates, is avoided and existing incrustations are dissolved. Thanks to its active ingredients and special additives, MD 555 cleaner is particularly suitable for amalgam separator installations. In addition, MD 555 cleaner can be used universally wherever hard water deposits need to be removed from surfaces such as tiles, slabs or spittoons

How is it applied?
In case of very hard water or the presence of traces of prophylactic powders, apply MD 555 cleaner regularly as a 5% solution once or twice a week, e.g. during the lunch break. In case of extreme load, also on a daily basis.
The minimum action time is 30 minutes and can be extended if necessary. To do this, fill 50 ml of MD 555 cleaner with water until 1 l of solution is obtained and aspirate it using the OroCup. Also pour 250 ml of solution into the spittoon.
After the action time has elapsed, rinse the clean installation with at least 1 l of water. Apply MD 555 cleaner in problematic cases, e.g. for the sanitation of suction systems heavily contaminated with biofilms, alternating it in this case with effective disinfectants such as Orotol plus or Orotol ultra, one to five times a week with a concentration of 10% (fill 100 ml of MD 555 cleaner with water until 1 l of solution is obtained). The optimal effect is achieved with an action time of between 1 and 2 hours. Also pour 250 ml of solution into the spittoon.
